Newborn giant panda cubs made their debut at a zoo in Japan this week. Visitors came to see the newborns, which weigh around 500 grams each.
That’s about three times their weight when they were born Dec. 2.
Soon, zoo staff will start taking suggestions for names of the cubs.
Visitors have flocked to see twin giant panda cubs at a zoo in Wakayama Prefecture in Midwestern Japan. Staff at Adventure World in Shirahama Town brought the female cubs to an indoor playground packed with about 300 visitors on Friday.
Their mother has been breastfeeding them.
A married couple who are expecting a child said the cute panda cubs gave them courage to take on parenthood. Adventure World has seven giant pandas, the most of any zoo in Japan. The twins will go on show for 20 minutes twice a day. Zoo staff plan to start soliciting names for the cubs.Live5News.com | Charleston, SC | News, Weather, Sports
